New Auburn (Wis.) Slining-Caulkins American Legion Post 267 was extremely proud to dedicate the New Auburn Area Veterans Memorial on Monday, May 25, 2026. Wisconsin State Rep. Rob Summerfield gave the keynote speech. The granite centerpiece of the memorial is engraved with the wording “Dedicated to all the New Auburn Area Veterans Past-Present-Future.” All six military seals are also engraved in the granite centerpiece. Four black steel benches with memorial-appropriate wording on the back surround the centerpiece. One 25-foot flagpole displays the American flag. Two 20-foot flagpoles hold the special 250th America Anniversary flag in tribute to our military, and the other holds the American Legion flag. Post 267 is very grateful and thankful to the local businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals that donated money for the construction of the memorial.
