One of our Riders, Maggie Heller, heard about an Air Force veteran who had moved into a new apartment and was struggling to get what he needs. She brought it up to the group at a Riders general membership meeting and they responded. Many of our members donated different items from a list Gary Morris (the veteran in need) had put together. A few met on a Saturday morning to load the donations into trucks, took the morning to drive over to his apartment and spent the hours to unload, delivering the goods into the home. It was a Saturday, a hot August day and a tremendous act of giving. Our Riders do indeed lead the way!
