The Department of Arizona wants to salute career Navy veteran Paul Johnson. He is the department Oratorical chair and VA&R chair. He is also very active in American Legion Baseball in Arizona. 21 years, in the Navy, 14 of which he was a Navy corpsman attached to the Marines. He is a member of the Marine Corps Ira H. Hayes Detachment. He was a post commander for three years, district vice commander for one year and is the current Area B vice commander. After retiring from the Navy, he was a teacher and administrator for the state of Arizona. He is married with six children and six grandchildren (so far). His quote is, "I am only one person, but the Legion is 2 million, and if we can touch 2 million then we can all touch and assist another veteran." He likes fishing and camping. He wife says he can talk to a fence post with his gift of gab. His priorities remain veterans and youth. Thank you for all you do for veterans and The American Legion, Paul!
