FAIRFAX CITY, VA — American Legion Fairfax Post 177 will host the “Bags of Honor” Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, April 18. The event is designed for players of all ages and skill levels to participate in a family-friendly competition.

The tournament will take place at Post 177, located at 3939 Oak St. in Fairfax. Events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. with the Kid/Parent Tournament. The Casual Tournament will follow at 1 p.m.

The “Bags of Honor” event includes two main tournament formats. The Kid/Parent Tournament will feature a two-game Swicholio format with shortened throwing distances. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of this tournament.

The Casual Tournament is structured for open play, guaranteeing participants a minimum of four to six games. This tournament will use a 27-foot throwing distance. Players will have opportunities to win cash, gift cards and various prizes from event sponsors.

Entry fees are set at $20 per team for the Kid/Parent Tournament. The Casual Tournament has an entry fee of $25 per player. Registration and additional event details are available through Irish Rose Cornhole, which partners on community and charity cornhole events.

American Legion Post 177 is one of the largest Legion posts in Virginia. The post is committed to supporting veterans, active-duty military families and the wider Fairfax community.
