John D. Wibby American Legion Auxiliary Unit 86 in Overgaard, Ariz., held a Four Chaplains service on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, to honor the Four Chaplains killed in World War II as a result of the German submarine attack and sinking of the U.S. Army transport ship SS Dorchester in the early morning hours of Feb. 3, 1943. In keeping with our “One Post-One Family” philosophy, we had widespread participation in this service, which also included three of our junior members. We thank Auxiliary Chaplain Shauna Taylor for putting together this heartfelt and thoughtful service.
