Retired U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie Edwards, Army and Navy, and his wife, Command Sgt. Maj. Sheryl Edwards, were one of the veteran grand marshals of Fort Wayne's "first ever" Fourth of July Parade. Both are members of American Legion Post 148. The parade took place in downtown Fort Wayne.
