**Mutual Helpfulness in Action: Supporting Our Youth, Honoring Our Veterans and Building Community Connections**
Albert F.–Harold A. Herd Memorial American Moore American Legion Post 184 in Moore, Okla., is proud to announce a partnership with the Absentee Shawnee Tribe to provide $500 in support of the Moore traveling girls’ softball team!
This partnership is about more than softball. It is about neighbors helping neighbors, building relationships, and investing in the young people who represent our community. By joining forces, Post 184 and the Absentee Shawnee Tribe are putting The American Legion’s principle of mutual helpfulness into action.
We hope this effort will help raise awareness of the tribe, bring more fans out to support these talented young athletes, and introduce more members of our community to the Legion and its commitment to youth programs.
We encourage everyone to come out and cheer on the girls! Their hard work, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship deserve our support both on and off the field.
We also welcome veterans of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe who may be interested in learning more about The American Legion, connecting with fellow veterans, and becoming involved in our mission of service to veterans, families and communities.
This is exactly what community partnership should look like: working together, supporting our youth, recognizing the contributions of our tribal neighbors and finding new ways to serve.
At Moore Post 184, we believe investing in young people is an investment in the future. The Legion has a proud tradition of supporting youth through programs that encourage leadership, citizenship, character and teamwork.
You just can’t squash our enthusiasm for American Legion youth programs!
We are grateful to the Absentee Shawnee Tribe for joining us in this effort, and we look forward to building on this partnership for the benefit of our youth, our veterans and our entire community.
