Don’t Forget the Veterans
Our country is lax
And too invested in money
And stocks,
We forget our Veterans
Who have fought for
This great land,
Whether it was World War II,
Korea or Vietnam,
These Veterans, many who were wounded,
Many who are disabled,
They gave to this country
Now it’s them who need to be enabled,
They need to be honored
Our priorities we need to ponder,
Our Veterans of both Gulf Wars,
Many lost more than one limb,
They need to be saluted in film,
America needs to learn from these
Heroic women and men,
We need to know where they’ve been.
