I wrote a Military Thriller Inspired by Serve-Would Appreciate Your Support

I’m Eric D. Smith, a fellow veteran and member of The American Legion.

It's my dream to do well on my book series so I can donate to American Legion programs and to make this into a Hollywood production. Over the past year, I’ve been working on a book series called The Last Regiment. It’s a military thriller, but more than that—it’s about leadership, pressure, and the kind of decisions you only understand after serving.

This story wasn’t written from the outside looking in. It’s built around the mindset we all know—duty, accountability, and pushing forward when everything is on the line.

I wanted to share this with my fellow Legion family first.

Smith is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of The American Legion, currently serving in a national leadership role as the Central Region Liaison, focused on member engagement, and is running for First Vice-Commander at his post. His work centers on supporting veterans and strengthening the Legion community. He is the author of The Last Regiment series, a military thriller built on themes of leadership, duty, and resilience.
