Wheeling Post 1 here in West Virginia. For The American Legion's 106th birthday, Post 1 had the honor of hosting National Commander James A. LaCoursiere Jr. Post Commander John Powell is fortunate enough to have been given a beautiful collection of memorabilia that has been lovingly maintained by former post commanders, Auxiliary and proud Legionnaires., including a thank-you note signed by Gen. John J. " Black Jack" Pershing. Our post historian put together this display for the event.
