ALR Hell to Paradise Ride

American Legion Riders Hell to Paradise PTSD Awareness Ride

Commerce Township, MI

I recently had the privilege to be part of a PTSD awareness ride with the American Legion Riders, the "Hell to Paradise PTSD Awareness Ride." This was the second annual ride. It took place on July 25-26, 2025, and we rode from Hell, Mich., to Paradise, Mich. The two-day ride brings awareness and funding for Mission 22 service dogs and Kamp George.

Kamp George is a nonprofit organization that offers all-inclusive vacations for wounded military and first responders.

Mission 22 Service Dogs provides veterans with professionally trained PTSD service dogs, or companion dogs (Battle Buddies).

The ride was coordinated by Scott Igo, a member of American Legion Post 3 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. He and his team deserve all the credit for such a great ride for such a great cause.

The local news did a few stories on the ride, and they were picked up by national outlets such as MSN and Yahoo News. Here is a link to one of the stories: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/from-hell-to-paradise-ptsd-motorcycle-...

Scott plans to coordinate another ride in 2026, and we would like to help spread the word about such an amazing event to help bring more awareness to the ride. Hopefully with more publicity the ride will raise even more donations for such a great cause.

He runs a Facebook page, and people can find out more information by visiting the page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/752324126618551/
