On Oct. 27, the John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) Auxiliary returned to Ira Murphy School with more support. The school is the poorest population in our district. The Auxiliary had a collection bin and signs around the post for all families to donate. The lady at the school accepting the donations was almost in tears after seeing the donation when the Auxiliary presented the school with $500 in gift cards. While there, the Auxiliary stated they will be back the end of the year or beginning of next year with more supplies for the school. Ira Murphy has been adopted by all the families of Post 62. Showing community support outside our walls is a theme throughout the post.
