CASTROVILLE, Texas – (Dec. 6, 2025) – To support the American Legion Blood Donation Program, Weiss-Wurzbach American Legion Post 460 held a mobile blood drive at the post. The South Texas Blood & Tissue bus was on hand taking donations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Leading the way and setting the example for donating blood were Post 460 Commander Abigail Figueroa and Department Vice Commander for the 3rd Division Tony Lopez. The American Legion - with community service as one of its pillars – is heavily involved in blood donation efforts.
