On Aug. 12, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored the U.S. Coast Guard's birthday. Prior to the presentation, Past Commander Bob Singer came forward for the 7:00 toast. Geri Singer, Auxiliary president, presented the cake to Rich Bicket, our only Coast Guard member. Bicket said a few words on his time in the Coast Guard and received applause. During the cutting of the cake, the Coast Guard song played.
