Auxiliary putting caregiver survival kits together.

John J. Morris Post 62 supports those who support our veterans

Peoria, AZ

On May 26, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) joined with our Auxiliary to present over 100 caregiver survival kits to caregivers at Immanuel total care and assisted living center. Over 100 veterans live in the huge complex getting support. The Legion also makes monthly visits to the total care center and then a week later to the assisted living center to visit with veterans living there. Always exciting to see the surprise on the faces of the caregivers when we show up to present the packets; they are never expecting the recognition, especially from an outside entity thanking them. It is showing support for our veterans by thanking those who take care of them. Between the gifts on this day and over a year of monthly visits to two of the centers, Post 62 supports veterans and lets them know we care and they are not alone.

Always teamwork with putting things together and a delivery team.

Presenting the packages to some of the caregivers. The leadership team was presenting the rest through the week.
