Commander Tony Kessler, along with members of Joseph J. Jacubic Post 572 in Parma, Ohio, paid a holiday visit to the Seven Hills Health and Rehab Nursing Home, bringing some Christmas joy and cheer. Santa passed out stockings for all the residents. The visit was also attended by members of the Honor Guard, SAL and Auxiliary, along with the commander's wife Shirley Kessler. Activities director Nikki Rodriquez said, "There were smiles on faces we have never seen smile until today." This is a annual trek to various nursing and veterans homes that was initiated by Commander Kessler.
70 residents, including six veterans, received stockings stuffed with hygiene products, playing cards, puzzle books, socks, candy canes and much more. Santa (2nd Vice John Rader) was a huge hit with the residents. All stuffing for the stockings was donated by post members.
