ForageHippie released his album “Burden On Society” on Dec. 15, 2025, on all streaming platforms. Highlights from the album include the lead single “Not Alone," an ode to military veterans with PTSD, and a reminder of the power each of us has to make a difference and Be the One. "Not Alone" is dedicated to my grandpa, aunt, uncles, cousins and friends who proudly served this country I love. Many continue to serve long after their time in uniform.
I wrote "Not Alone" with Lt. Col. Swenson, Ph.D., who in retirement volunteers at The American Legion helping veterans get the benefits earned through their service. “Not Alone” is an emotional song with a deep message of solidarity. Written for veterans battling PTSD, the song centers on the idea that no one should carry their darkest moments by themselves. The tone is raw, honest and uplifting.
The song gives me goosebumps every time I play it.
