On July 7, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored Laura Guidice with the Stars of 62 award at the Legion Riders meeting. The award is presented to someone who goes above and beyond in the post. She has for years donated cakes for military branch birthdays and special events. She also helps in the kitchen when it is Riders Italian night dinner. Her volunteer list goes on, and she does all this while still working full time! It was such a pleasure for the Publicity Committee to surprise her with the award during the meeting. Lots of applause following the presentation showed we had made a great decision. She is also on the Auxiliary Board at 62. We salute Laura for her dedication and volunteerism; everyone loves helping eat those cakes!
