Although the actual birthday for the U.S, Air Force was Friday, Sept. 18, John J. Morris Post 62 celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The Air Force was established in 1947, breaking away from the U.S. Army. Since that time, they have established air superiority over the skies. In 1948, President Harry Truman signed the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, allowing women to serve permanently. Since that time, they have come into their own working alongside their Air Force brothers.

Post 62 is lucky that we have an individual who provides these cakes to us: Laura Guidice. We want to give her a shout-out for providing us with the U.S. Air Force cake.
