On Aug. 3, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored the Guitars 4 Vets Phoenix chapter with their Patriotism Award. The award is for businesses outside Peoria that show great support for veterans. Frank and Christina Dugie run the program that offers free guitar lessons to veterans with PTSD at several American Legion sites in central Arizona. They kicked off their third 12-week session at Post 62 on this night. Full class and instructors on hand, and after the presentation several people went into the class to thank everyone for what they are doing. At graduation the students will each receive a new guitar! A huge salute to Guitars 4 Vets for the work they do, and they do it for free for the veterans!
