On Nov. 1, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored the Unknown Soldier as veteran of the month. Every month, a veteran is honored. The Riders rolled in on their motorcycles to kick the event off. An opening prayer was delivered, followed by the arrival of the honor guard. The flag from last month's veteran of the month was lowered, folded and delivered. Then a new flag was accepted and raised in honor of the Unknown Soldier for this month. The story of the Unknown Soldier was read after the flag was raised. A closing prayer concluded the events for the ceremony. The story is always stirring and moving.
