In Fort Lewis my D.I..s were Staff Sgt. Beverly and Sgt. Martinez. That was 1966. They were so loved by the company that at graduation we all chipped in to give them each a bottle of whiskey. I believe they did all they could to teach us to survive, and we knew it. God bless them.
