On Dec. 31, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) held a celebration for New Year's Eve. Everyone worked hard on decorations and great food. The meal was amazing, including shrimp cocktail, salad, prime rib, carrots, potato and dessert. The local favorite band, Reboot, provided the dancing and entertainment. The evening concluded with a toast to the new year. It was a night of connecting and sharing stories from the past year. A highlight to start the night off was William Stevens, 104, World War II veteran, out there for the very first dance of the night! People moved around visiting with friends while making new ones. Saying goodbye to 2025 and welcome to 2026. Always a time of planning new and improved events for the new year.
