Fred Brock Post 828 celebrates 107th birthday of The American Legion

San Antonio, TX

SAN ANTONIO – (March 16, 2026) – For 107 years, The American Legion has stood as a pillar of strength, service and unwavering dedication to the nation's veterans.

To recognize the occasion, members of Fred Brock American Legion Post 828 attended a cake-cutting ceremony hosted by the post located on the city’s East Side.

The brief ceremony was administered by Post Commander Amanda Parham, who delivered remarks followed by the cutting.

The 107th American Legion Birthday commemorates the founding of the Legion, a patriotic veterans organization established on March 15, 1919. Each year, members and communities across the United States celebrate this milestone to honor the organization's continued commitment to supporting veterans, promoting patriotism and fostering community service.

The 107th anniversary is a testament to The American Legion's enduring legacy and its dedication to upholding the values and traditions that have unified generations of servicemembers and their families.
