Albert F.-Harold A. Herd Memorial Moore Post 184

Moore, OK

Memorial Day ceremony in remembrance, honor and gratitude as we stand together to pay tribute to our fallen heroes.

● Emcee: Sen. Darrell Weaver – A 28‐year law enforcement leader and former director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, dedicated to protecting and strengthening Oklahoma communities.

● Featured lineup of speakers:
○ Maj. Gen. Rita Aragon – From basic airman to major general in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, she became the first woman to command a state’s Air National Guard and later served as Oklahoma’s first female secretary of military and veterans’ affairs.
○ Wil Lowe, USMC – A United States Marine veteran whose career spans leadership in tribal governance, health, business development and national advocacy. He has served as speaker of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation National Council, CEO of Community Programs at UAII in Los Angeles, and now serves as executive director of the Muskogee Tourism Authority, along with multiple national board roles supporting Native Americans and veterans.

● In Memoriam - Brandon Wallace - Honored and remembered this Memorial Day for his service, sacrifice and lasting impact on those who knew him. A memorial wreath will be placed in his honor during the ceremony by the local commander of our local VFW post

This ceremony was valuable to so many veterans and community members alike. To gather with our brothers and sisters, join together with VFW, MCL and others - those lost were remembered and those still here supported each other. Our community cherishes times like these to honor those lost and take a step toward healing each year.
