The Soldiers Who Have Diied
All the wars that we have had,
The good have to fight the bad,
Young men die so we can be free,
Young men go to their God for Eternity,
War is a terrible thing,
Heartache and sadness is all it brings,
Soldiers go off to fight,
In their stomach, they carry the fright,
Brave men go off to fight for their country.
Some return, some never again to see their family,
Soldiers die and life goes on,
Killed by the bombs,
They hide in foxholes, ready to shoot the enemy,
Their unfortunate fate is to be buried in the cemetery,
But we must never forget these brave, young heroes,
Who went off to fight the evil foes,
We gather on Memorial Day,
To remember, honor and pray.
