For the second year, Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron 451 from the Detachment of Indiana has hosted its Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony and dinner on March 29, 2024. The event included a free meal for all Vietnam veterans and special guest speakers including Past National SAL Commander David Stephens, Indiana Post 451 Commander Michael Livengood III, Indiana SAL Squadron 451 Commander Jason Lambert and Michigan City, Ind., Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch.

This year the squadron added a very nice touch with all Vietnam veterans receiving a certificate of appreciation for their time spent serving during the Vietnam War.
