During Memorial Day, American Legion (Puerto Rico) District 4 gathered to pay tribute to those men and women who offered the best sacrifice - their lives - in defense of freedom and peace. District 4 represented the Legion at the Atlantic Garden Veterans Cemetery in Aguadilla on May 26, 2025. The commander of Rincon Inc. Post 67, Marilyn Melendez Dykman, delivered a wreath of flowers representing District 4. The commander of Isabella's Post 68, Aida Rosa, represented her post. The event was organized by outgoing District 4 commander Juan Carlos Bonilla and incoming commander Juan Cardona. The governor of Puerto Rico, Hon. Jenniffer González Colón, and the Veterans Public Service and Government representative, Dr. Agustín Montañez Allman, were present at the event.

Post 67 also honored one of their members who accomplished so much for the post and gifted the family a wreath of flowers to place on the veteran’s tomb. Following the ceremony, members of Post 67 placed the American flag on fallen veterans' tombs at the Municipal Cemetery of Rincon. The mayor of Rincon, Hon. Carlos D. López Bonilla, and the representative of District 18, Odalys González, were guests of honor who spoke about the meaning and importance of this day. May God bless our fallen heroes, their families and this great nation.
