Since the beginning of the pandemic, Past State Vice Commander Cheryl Kit Turner and my comrade John K. White - both of us from Post 152 in Newark, N.J. - have helped to feed 13,233 families. I call it fresh veggies Fridays: every Friday we hand out food to our veteran families and the community. On the 24th we will be giving out food, coats and toys for the children.
We plan on feeding the needy until this is over and people who need it most.
