Phoenix, AZ

The Department of Arizona salutes Dr. Roberta "Bobbie" Kimelton. She is an Army veteran/cryptographer and Russian linguist. Her list of accomplishments and achievements are extensive. Seven years as post commander, three years as district commander and a year as Area B vice commander. She is now department judge advocate and for two years was department membership chair, where she achieved 100% renewal numbers! She is also on the National Veteran Employment and Rehabilitation. Sound like a lot? She still works full time as human resources, risk management and safety director for Lake Havasu City! She is dean of Arizona American Legion College as well. She stated, "My why is creating future leaders in The American Legion." She has two children and five stepchildren plus 11 grandchildren and three dogs. She received her doctorate in public law. Do not tell Bobbie you are too busy to do something with The American Legion! We salute all her work.
