On May 1, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) honored Marine Corps veteran Arthur "Art" Leonard as the May Veteran of the Month. Master Sgt. Leonard spent 20 years in the Corps. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He was highly decorated for his service. Upon leaving he went on to get his BA and MA, graduating cum laude, highest in his class. He then went on as a college instructor for 17 years. Godspeed and rest in peace, Art.

Always emotional for family members. Evert Young's daughter from Arizona, another daughter from Louisiana and son from Florida were all in attendance.
