John J. Morris Post 62 Legion Riders do their annual memorial ride honoring those lost

Peoria, AZ

On Jan. 1, the John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) Legion Riders do their annual memorial ride to honor those lost in the past year and years before. They make several stops in the community and conclude by gathering for lunch together. While at lunch they discuss plans for the upcoming year. This can be repeating things from the past and include new ideas they can do as a family for the community. Our Riders are always thinking of ways they can support the community and are our most visible outreach team.A salute to them for their commitment to our area.

They got all staged up. They left in three groups, all spaced out for safety.

The first group has left and the next group is preparing. Riding on the first bike is Penny, who has her cancer in remission. She is a spark plug to the whole group by being able to participate again.

The planning meeting over food. Thanks to Coni Moore for this photo.
