On Dec. 20, John J. Morris Post 62 (Peoria, Ariz.) hosted the Polar Express event for children. The Auxiliary worked very hard decorating the dining hall and getting all the cookies made and stockings stuffed. The Riders escorted Santa Claus and the Grinch to the post, where everyone was waiting. Inside were several tables set up for youth to get cookies, decorate and draw, face painting and the list goes on, including hot cocoa! When Santa went to the tree the line formed to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and get a stocking stuffed with goodies from Santa! Around 50 youth were in the room, which was buzzing with excitement. Merry Christmas!
