Legionnaire Leroy Day - 104 years young

Locke Mills, ME

Today (June 24, 2020) is the 104th birthday of the still very young Leroy Day, past commander (1961) of Jackson-Silver Post 68. He has survived two of the world's most deadly pandemics, not to mention more than one close call as a member of the Greatest Generation. Like the "Energizer Bunny," Leroy keeps on going, and we are all grateful that he does. "Hand Salute! Two!"

Attached is a photo taken two years ago at the Post 68 Legion Centennial Birthday Party. If we had a more recent photo (his family is zealously tending to his welfare), he wouldn't look a DAY older.

Happy birthday, Leroy.
