(St. Albans, New York, February 9, 2026) – Proctor-Hopson Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1896 hosted a pre-Super Bowl party at the St. Albans Pub in the St. Albans VA Hospital. Veterans enjoyed pizza, wings and soft drinks from Three Brothers Pizza, a local business located on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in South Jamaica, Queens, N.Y. Volunteers from VFW Post 1896, American Legion Post 1946 of St. Albans, and VA staff provided table service and conversation to the 28 attending veterans.
On special days such as Super Bowl Sunday, veterans at the St. Albans VA are not always able to spend time with their close family. The party was a way for veterans to enjoy a family atmosphere with community members.
